Good evening everyone, since the movie has been released I couldnt muster the courage to watch it. I havent even seen #Shikara; but with the amount of hue and cry on social media and so many Kashmiri Pandits coming forward and rendering their heart out, I went ,petrified but went to witness on screen what our grandparents died wishing for#a glimpse of homeland,#shankaracharya pith darshan, the singing on roads of #legacy of shiva trikha philosophy...they died with a dream that ..ik doh gasav kashir..gari panun (still waiting)...

The movie portrays the dreadful plight of my community bit by bit accurately, this happened,yes shameful, tragic and incomprehensible but happened, I tried sleeping after watching it but couldnt...cant stop my tears

The massacre, the rape and mutiliation of bodies of females, the fear to portray your relegious symbols(vermilion or the janeo), bitta katare and shabir shah terror ,it all happened my friends

People left like herds bundled up in trucks , believe me it happened; senior citizens died in migration camps, we were called#migrants #lola in our own country;  the film gives you a glimpse into the plight of Kashmiri pandits but it is just a glimpse

#ashiyane chut gaye 

#culture is lost, we try to bring it back bit by bit but the generation after ours doesnt know much; the land , the place, the legacy and glory, nearness to it matters

#VivekRanjanAgnihotri thank you, for getting this story to screens for everyone to watch and feel our pain

And if this is propaganda and selective portrayal of Kashmir tragedy

What was#Haider...where was a Kashmiri Pandit in that story

Shikara dekhni baki hai abhi...will react on that as well

When you   are a kid there are as many dreams in your eyes as are stars in the sky, and as growing up happens, each stage presents new dreams ,new adventures but once you plan to settle down, especially in an Indian set up   choices constrict and dreams vanish and all you are left with is pleasing your family; and playing that socially right kind of role… and if you deny it and start living life on own terms …suddenly your image becomes black and tarnished, you change and so people around criticize you in tons and poke noses at u and point fingers…   this is the one.
